Fighting the Good Fight
Dispatch from the Front The company I work for is across the street from where Dubya and Mommy gave their tired Social Security redeux faux "Town Meeting", so I was privilaged to see the Repug foot soldiers, in all their glory, marching toward the invite only revival meeting. Hordes of white, middle class, mostly women, filled the sweltering sidewalks around the Civic Center in Atlanta, sweat pouring from their carefully coifed, fancily styled, and unusually colored, hairdos. As I circled the area, I had to stifle my urges to shout out stinging observations about where George should stick various |
objects, (only because my vehicle had my company's name emblazoned on its side). If vicious looks could kill, they would all, at least, be having migraines! But lo and behold, in a god forsaken boiling blacktop parking lot, hundreds of shouting, chanting sign waving protesters, greeted the arriving motorcade, with a short dose of reality based opinion. A rainbow of folks of all ages, heavily leaning to the young, fighting the good fight, and bringing my spirits back to, at least, a mild depression about the state of our State, Thank you folks for your mere existence, it took me back to 1968! pablo |

announce that there must be no criticism of the president,
or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only
unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American
public." -- Theodore Roosevelt The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything. Joseph Stalin |
